Introduction

The primary role of the specialization is to offer the students an utmost professional training with a view to practicing a musician’s vocation. We lend significance to the role of deeply feeling the music, to modern perspectives and methods, to musical practice, to applying the aquired knowledge, to talent development as well as to building a professional community, as basis for developing a creative personality. The educational process within the specialization takes place in a familiar environment, in which individual activities, mentoring and nurturing talent play an important part.

Additional opportunities

Besides choir conducting, the students of our specialization can choose, among others, the church music module, and they can study, as an option, either playing an instrument or music composing. After graduation, the students can continue their studies within the frame of our MA programme in the field.

Partium Choral Ensemble

Choral singing has a special place in the life of the specialization, both from a professional perpective, and from that of the community. The core of the repertoire of our choir, known as Partium Choral Ensemble, consists of sacred music works.
